Aims

To promote the publishing of texts connected with Cistercian spirituality and tradition. Although the association is not itself a publisher, it participates in the publication of works with other publishing houses. The work, ‘Origines Cisterciennes’ (Cistercian Origins,) a compendium of the oldest Cistercian texts, was produced by the Editions du Cerf (Paris 1998) as the result of collaboration between ARCCIS and its different members.
To disseminate Cistercian works published by various editors, by promoting them in catalogues and in bibliographies. This dissemination covers all types of documents : books, cassettes, CD, videos.
To run a resources centre with the mission of building up a contemporary Cistercian collection. The centre gathers and makes available to the general public current documentation concerning Cistercian culture.
The association does not itself organise sessions or retreats, but can promote meetings of a historical nature, academic symposia.
